It’s coming! It’s coming. The absolute best place to buy competition class dahlias is the Central States Dahlia Society at Chicago Botanic Gardens. I am not just saying that because I belong to the club and I’ll be there both days. These are plants that our members grew, either from their own tubers at home, or from tubers the club bought, and members nurtured at Friendship Park. These are American Dahlia Society varieties that we grow because we know and love them. You will too!

We’ll have the big ones and the increasingly popular itsy-bitsy ones. 127 varieties in all. Always check the size to make sure it’s what you want. Bonaventure is size AA, which means the bloom is over 10″. Yes 10″.
Chimicum Troy is a Miniature Ball. It’s probably about the size of a golf ball.
